I am in the process of planning a wedding. We are going to have table linens and napkins. I also plan on having the tables decorated with candles and assortments of fresh flowers. Some on high pilars and some just as a spray on the table. Basically it is going to look somewhat elegant. Is it going to look tacky if the catering company only serves food on plastic wear? I personally want china, but trying to cut the cost of the catering down. Using china will cost at least an additional $8.00 per person which equals at least an extra $1500 plus to our bill. Originally I planned on taking her to a secluded beach for an evening picnic; watch the sun set and stars come up. We’re from the city, so I wanted to drive an hour north where there isn’t so much light pollution. I wanted to pick her up at 6; in time to get there and watch the sun set. the colors are ornage and turquoise and she doesnt want any "babyish" stuff, so im just thinking of it as a regular party. I need help with the tables…should i do the table covers and alternate them with orange and turquoise or do solid white and have like a strip of orange and turquoise going down th middle? and im thinking of using fabric cloths. what about for a centerpiece? shoudl i do a clear glass vase and out the gems and do orange an turq. flowers?? i neeed help plz thx I’m probably not the one to answer this question and will likely receive a lot of thumbs downs. I am getting married at the end of the year and my fiance is Mexican and I am half mexican so most of our guests will be hispanic. We are NOT doing a traditional mexican wedding meaning we dont have sponsers or anything. My mom is solely paying for the wedding. We are paying PER PERSON and need to have specific amounts prior to our wedding. My concern with BOTH our families is we tend to have parties and people show up who werent even invited.
